Born in Dusseldorf, FRG

Studied Slavic literature, history and art history. Graduated from the Ruhr-Universität, Bochum; 
grant of the DAAD for studying at the All-Union State University of Cinematography, Moscow

Since 1985

participating in the performances of the Collective Actions group. Founding the video-archives of the MANI (Moscow Archive of New Art), collecting an audiovisual archive of Moscow conceptualism

Lives in Bochum and Berlin
